Mitch and I had a real good meeting last night discussing the finer details of Continuum 4. The website launches on Friday – and the address for all you who are interested is www.continuum.org.au.

The con is going to be great. We’re gonna have strippers and beer and more strippers. A real family event. The SF content will be minimal, which is great because Science Fiction has a distinct lack of beer and strippers in it. (I’m not saying there aren’t strippers and beer in SF, but there’s not enough for my taste).

I love working with Mitch because he’s an idiot and his constant stupidity often entertains me. I recommend for all you people looking to run a convention or conference of any sort to have an idiot on hand. Mitch is also over 6 foot tall and very easy to cuddle. Now, being a man who likes strippers and beer and cricket and footy, cuddling men is a no no, but sometimes, when a guy is large and cute and teddy bear like (just like Mitch) you have to put all that homophobia aside and cuddle the man. And he giggles when you do it. Tee Hee.

On a sadder note – Don Adams died today. That really hit me for six when I heard the news. Get Smart was one of thise seminal shows that made my childhood all the better. Poor Max. Up in heaven to drive the Cheif mad again.

And finally, I saw my mate Ben’s Fringe Festival show on Sunday night. (Ben is barrington in LJ world, but I don’t know how to make it work so that when I write his name his jigger comes up, so hopefully he’ll respond to this and you can be redirected to his LJ…). What a wonderful, brilliant, witty, clever, educational 55 minutes on evolution. GO AND SEE THIS SHOW IF YOU ARE IN MELBOURNE!!!! You will love it. Evolution has never been so damn funny.
