This is not a review of the first episode of West Wing – well it’s not a comprehensive review anyway. I’m a huge, HUGE fan of the series and own the DVDs and often find myself humming Snuffy’s theme tune in the shower. (I even bought a CD of his instrumental work which is very nice).

I was really worried about Sorkin leaving.

And when I heard from various sources that the show was rubbish, my worry turned into outright fear.

I started having flashback to the abomination that was Millenium Season Three – following the sublime Season Two (best Season of TV ever!!!!! and now you can own it on DVD. Buy it!!!!)

Well, maybe the series has gone downhill, but I can say with a smile on my face that I enjoyed the first episode. I’m so glad they didn’t resolve Season’s 4 cliff-hanger in the first 45 minutes. And John Goodman is kick arse.

So there. It will be interesting to see how the next 21 episodes pan out.
