So Jules and I went to see Nancy “Bart Simpson” Cartwright at the Arts Centre. It was a pretty decent show. Could have done with a few more audio visual cues, but hey Nancy is a hoot. She falls into Bart’s voice so easily that I think the line between her as a 40 something female adult and a 10 year old irascible boy has more than blurred. I think she’s become Bart, much like Nimoy became Spock – except he only played the part for 3 years (and some movies), Nancy’s been at it for 18 years. Ha!

Anyways afterwards Jules and I caught up with some friends at a swanky jazz bar called Manchester Lane. I had their chocolate milkshake in a martini glass cocktail (very much a grilie drink) and I even danced a bit with Jules. And who happened to be there, like a centimetre in front us, none other than Nancy, dancing her little butt off (she’s about 2ft 1). I’d have gone up to her and annoyed her about Simpson plot holes and how the show isn’t as good as it used to be… but… well… she really knows how to boogie.

Anyways Jules and I celebrated our three month anniversary at Shakihari on Sunday night. This lovely Indian Veggie resteraunt. I had some sort of rice dish which was yummy. And so was the avocado rolls and Jules dish which were these grain patty thingies.

As for Weight Watchers… well without my clothes on… I’m basically normal weight 71kg. I’ve got a system where I’m a good boy for 4 days of the week and naughty for 3 and I’m still losing weight. So yay to my system. I officially need new clothes.

Oh, and I spent Sunday watching New Earth with the Whoposse. Now there’s a bunch of fans who really know how to enjoy Doctor Who without all the fan nitpicky does it fit into canon shit that I hate about Whofandom at the mo. New Earth is not my fav Doctor Who episodes, but when you watch it with people who are enjoying themselves, it can be amazingly fun. Thanks Tahl, Sara, Ben and Meg!

And finally… I don’t really promote myself, but I love the cover and I think it’s one of my best stories… http://www.doctorwho.co.uk/drwho_books/ST18_centenarian.shtml

And it has an About the Author – which does give away the subject matter of the story…
