Jules and I spent the day in Williamstown. What a nice place, what with its boats and its fish and chip shops and its gangbangers. We walked the pier, looked at the navy boat with the big guns and then had a nice lunch at a cafe. And then we went back to Jule’s place where we watched the Simpsons. Homer is cute.

And tonight and tomorrow is the Jewish Holiday Purim. This is the one where the kids get dressed up in costume, and where we read the story of Queen Esther and the evil Haman who wanted to kill all the Jews. We celebrate that Esther and her Uncle Mordechai were able stop Haman from following out his plan. And whenever Haman’s name is mentioned in the reading we make a loud noise to drown his name out. My Dad reads for my Synagouge and he’s brilliant because he zips through the story in about 30 minutes. That doesn’t stop the little kids, dressed up as queens and kings and M&M packets and drag queens and spaceman and homosexual cowboys* from making noises with their gregors (woodens toys that make a loud clicking sound).

Oh, and we’re also meant to get very drunk.

So tomorrow back to work. But I don’t care, I’m relaxed and content and happy.

And tomorrow is my first Weight Watchers weigh in. Have I lost weight? Have my man boobs shrunk? Will the middle aged housewives stop drooling over my hunky, manly body? Time will tell people… time will tell.

*I’m not kidding about the homsexual cowboys. See, movies do influcence little kids.
