Saw Steve and Sue and we had dinner and the rain fell on us. It was a lovely evening, despite the rain and we got to watch well dressed men and gorgeous women (with their boobies on parade) stagger around the city. I just love the Spring Carnival. All that cleavage…. drooooool. Steve and Sue are gorgeous people and I wish I could have spent more time with them in Melbourne. And yes guys, one day I’ll come and vist you.
I’ve had a great couple of weeks. Whovention wasn’t the greatest con I’ve ever been too… but I did meet some wonderful people (waves at Sara, Tahl and Paul… who isn’t on LJ but bought me a nice pink shirt for my birthday. And Liam… Liam was coooool). Then I had Rob over for five days and we basically spent our time checking out bookstores and DVD shops throughout Melbourne. I think Rob left Melbourne with about 70 DVDs. Most of which were Aussie related. I, on the otherhand, bought more books. Which is great, coz I thought I was running out.
Oh, and afer five years I’m finally reading Ori’s birthday present to me. The TechnoMage Babylon 5 trilogy. I just finished Book One and it wasn’t bad. This coming from a guy who reads Doctor Who novels and so knows good TV tie in from shite TV tie in. Ori was surprised that I was actually reading the books. He’d given up on it ever happening two years ago. But there you have it, I’m full or surprises. (Being the c$%nt that I am, I did play with Ori a bit, pretending to read the books at times, but not actually doing so. Ori began to cotton on to my evilness and so didn’t believe me when I told him I was actually gonna read them this time. So when I started quoting bits and pieces from the novels… he was stunned. Like I said, full of surprises).
Today I’m seeing Wolf Creek. That should be a laugh riot.
