… well Jewish New Year was just splendid. Two days of praying and eating and praying and eating and sleeping. There’s a superstition if you sleep on the first day you sleep through the year… well I buggered that up big time. (And no, I didn’t go do Tashlich… I’m a naughty boy).

In a week I’m off too Whovention. I cannot wait. I’m rooming with Roberto S again. We get stay up late and make funny noises at each other, just like we did in LA. The only thing missing is my Mum knocking on the door asking for the two of us to shut up. Steve and Sue will be there as well. So the excitement levels will be high. I’ve got shpilkes just thinking about it.

But before all that there’s Yom Kippur. More prayer and sleep and don’t forget the fasting. 25 hours without water, food, glucose thingies anything. You can’t wash, can’t brush your teeth, can’t spray deodrant under your arms, can’t wash your hands (well up too the knuckles anyway). When we Jews Atone, we do it smelly and hungry.
