- Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey (Viking);
- A Song for Issy Bradley by Carys Bray (Hutchinson);
- Our Endless Numbered Days by Claire Fuller (Fig Tree)
As the hyperlinks above show, I’ve read two of the three finalists. Unlike the rest of the planet I wasn’t that keen on Elizabeth is Missing (though I acknowledge that Healey’s take on a woman suffering from dementia is superb). However, I adored A Song for Issy Bradley and without having read the Fuller I’d be glad to see Bray walk away with the Prize.
I am planning on reading Our Endless Numbered Days, sandwiched somewhere between my Man Booker reading and the longlist announcement for the National Book Award.
Congratulations to the finalists.
