Well the last two days have been pretty momentous in the life of Mond. On Sunday I met Jules parents for the first time. Only once before have I met the parents of my girlfriend, and let me tell you people out there it don’t get any easier. Jules kept telling me to take a chill pill, and as a pharmacist I’m sure she had a bazillion of them at hand… so the fact she didn’t give me any makes her out to be a pretty evil person.

But there was no need to fear Jule’s dad and his six guage shot gun. Her parents proved to be sweeties and what can I say I spent three hours with them and it was great and not all horrible, or nerve wracking or icky at all.

And tonight Jules met my parents. My father, who has no concept of where the line in the sand actually is, was in great form. He regaled Jules with stories that went no-where about dead family members that none of us had actually ever heard of or probably ever existed. In the meantime, my mother commented on the footwear of Bangladeshi cricketers (seriously you had to be there). We then got onto strippers and lesbians as is the tradition during a Mond family dinner.

Anyways, all went well and I’m glad Jules and I have hurdled that particular obstacle. Now she doesn’t need to meet my parents again until our third kid gets married. Yay!!!!
